Health And Safety
Health and Safety: Our Priority
Protecting the wellbeing of our employees, clients, and the wider public is at the heart of everything we do. To maintain consistently high standards, we follow a structured framework of measures designed to keep every project safe.

Ongoing Training and Development
We ensure that every member of our site team takes part in regular training. This includes both internal programmes and specialist external courses. Training needs are reviewed annually so that each role is supported with the right skills and knowledge.
All site managers and contracts staff hold nationally recognised health and safety qualifications, while all other site operatives meet the minimum certification requirements. Additional training covers areas such as asbestos awareness, first aid, fire safety, and progression towards further industry qualifications.
Safety Management System
Our health and safety management system is regularly reviewed to align with current business needs and client expectations. This integrated approach allows us to monitor, measure, and improve safety performance across all sites. Independent audits, combined with internal reviews, ensure that the system continues to evolve and deliver improvements.
Safety Auditing
Alongside our own processes, external consultants conduct regular on-site audits. This provides an additional layer of oversight and helps us maintain the highest levels of compliance and safety performance.
Communication and Engagement
Clear communication is key to promoting a safe workplace. We use a variety of methods, from toolbox talks and safety campaigns to alerts, newsletters, and team meetings, to make sure safety messages are understood and acted upon.
Health and Wellbeing
We place equal importance on health as well as safety. All site workers take part in health surveillance assessments to support ongoing monitoring and wellbeing.
We also actively promote mental health awareness within the company. Many of our colleagues work away from home, so we provide dedicated resources, awareness sessions, and trained Mental Health First Aiders to ensure they have the support they need.
Recognition and Best Practice
We encourage a proactive approach to safety through our reward and recognition initiatives. Positive actions, innovative ideas, and going the extra mile are acknowledged and celebrated.
To support consistency across all activities, we also maintain our own internal best practice guidance, ensuring a high standard of health and safety is embedded throughout the company.
